UMYU Post Utme 2016 Cut Off Mark, Exam Schedule, Registration Details

Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina invites ALL candidates who have applied for admission into the University either through UTME or Direct Entry, to the 2016/2017 Admission Screening of the institution.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for screening, Candidates must have:

• Scored a minimum of 180 marks in the 2016 UTME (or applied for DE);

• Obtained Five (5) Credits in relevant ‘O ’ Level subjects (including English Language and Mathematics), at not more than two sittings.

The screening exercise will be conducted as follows:

On-line registration of candidates: all candidates (both UTME and DE candidates) who have applied for admission into the University are required to register online between Wednesday 10th August to Sunday 4th September, 2016 through the url: http://portal.umyu.edu.ng/application/

List of shortlisted candidates, those who have met the entry requirements, including subject combination, from among those that have registered on-line will be displayed on the website and the candidates will be invited for screening upon payment of a screening fee of two thousand five hundred (N2,500.00) naira only.

Shortlisted candidates will thereafter be informed of their screening test schedules and other requirements as from 12th September, 2016.

IMSU Post Utme 2016 Registration Details, Exam Date, Cut Off mark

The Imo State University (IMSU) Online Registration for the Screening of prospective candidates for Admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2016/2017 Academic Year has commenced.

1. ELIGIBILITY
Candidates who chose Imo State University as their first choice in the 2016/2017 UTME/DIRECT ENTRY Application and scored 180 and above are eligible for the screening. In addition, candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes in the relevant O’level subjects including English
Language and Mathematics.

2. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
-Visit the university's official website www.imsu.edu.ng

-Click on "2016/2017 UTME/DE Admission Screening Application" under Prospective Students

- On the page that opens, click on Post-UTME Application.

- Enter your JAMB Registration Number in the space provided; click on "START" and proceed to generate your payment invoice.

- Proceed to any of the banks for your payment on e-tranzact platform with the generated payment invoice number (The banks are; Zenith Bank, IMSU Microfinance Bank, First Bank, Diamond Bank, Imo State Micro Finance Bank, Eco Bank, FCMB, Fidelity Bank, UBA, Access Bank).

-Return to the application page and enter your JAMB Registration Number again.

- Enter your e-tranzact confirmation order pin obtained from the bank

-Proceed with the completion of the Form.

-Correctly enter your O’level results.

-Upload CLEAR COPIES of 2016 UTME Original Result that bears your passport photograph. If you do not have this document, click here to get yours, O’level results, First School Leaving Certificate, Birth Certificate and Local Government Identification

-Confirm your entries.

-Submit your application.

-Print out your acknowledgement slip.

-Await announcement from the University.

3. Eligible Candidates would be required to pay a processing fee of Two thousand, Five hundred naira (N2,500) only.

NUC's New Boss Resolves To Scrap Diploma Programmes In Universities

The new Executive Secretary of the National University Commission, Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed, has disclosed that the commission will soon stop Universities from running diploma programmes.

He made this known when he was paid a visit by the the Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Dr Masaudu Kazaure in his office.

According to Prof. Rasheed, only polytechnics had the statutory right to run diploma programmes.

He equally stated that the federal government had earlier issued a circular as far back as 2000 prohibiting the use of Ordinary Diploma certificates either in the promotion or employment of staff in the civil service, adding that the commission would soon notify universities to stop the programmes.

He gave assurance that the commission will collaborate with NBTE towards developing a value print that will give polytechnics the capacity to run degree programmes.

He further dispelled rumours that the FG has converted Kaduna state Polytechnic and Yaba College of Technology to city universities and commended the recent move by the Council of Civil Service Establishments in making HND holders that have Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) to be at par with university graduates in the civil service

OOU Lecturers Embark On Indefinite Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, has embarked on a sit-at-home strike action over the inability of the state government to fulfill the promises regarding a Memorandum of Understanding it signed with the union in December 2015 as well as non payment of their July salaries.

The decision to embark on a strike action was arrived at after the unions congress held at the institution’s permanent campus in Ago-Iwoye on Monday.

According to the union, the state government has abandoned its responsibility to the institution by not honouring the 70:30 ratios contribution by the state Government and OOU management in payment of salaries.

The Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi(FUAM) Online Registration for the Screening of prospective candidates for Admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2016/2017 Academic Year has commenced

ELIGIBILITY

- University of Agriculture, Makurdi invites ALL candidates who choose the institution as their first choice in the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 180 marks and above to their 2016/2017 Admission Screening.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

- Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of N2,500 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira) only for Post-UTME Screening (service charge inclusive).

Before payment confirm that your name is in the UAM POST UTME Screening List by searching with your Registration Number. If you find your name and you wish to proceed with payment, Click Pay Screening Fee to Start the payment process.

- Candidates will be given a University of Agriculture, Makurdi POST-UTME Screening Payment Slip from the Bank containing Candidate’s JAMB Number as User Name and Payment Pin as Password.

- Candidates are expected to register online for the UAM POST UTME Screening exercise using the Payment Voucher information by filling the POST UTME Screening Registration Form available on the University website entry. uam.edu.ng/utme (follow the guidelines on the website).

- Candidates are expected to provide correct information about their candidature on the University portal and make a printout of the form filled online from the University portal.

- Candidates will make a computer printout of the online registration from the University website and come along with it for Post-UTME screening exercise.

- Candidates should first visit the University website ONLY (Not REMITA website) to generate your RRR number.

The University Portal has three payment options. The options are

- Internet Banking: Go to the University website and follow the instruction on our website to make your payment on the portal using your bank ATM card.

- Mobile Banking: Use your ATM card on a mobile device (i.e. internet ready handset, ipad, etc) on the portal www.uam.edu.ng to pay your fees/charges. Follow the instruction at www.uam.edu.ng

- Bank Branch: Ensure that you first print the PIN generated from our website, then go to any branch (nation-wide) of all the commercial banks on REMITA to pay the fees.

SCREENING DATES

The screening exercise commences on, 22nd August and ends on Friday 26th August, 2016.

Candidates are expected to come along with the following on the Screening Exercise date at the carious Colleges:

- The Printout of the Online Registration Form filled from the University website.

- Bank Payment Slip as evidence of payment.

AAU Notice To Admission Screening Candidates (2016/2017) With Awaiting Result Status

This is to inform all candidates who registered for the 2016/2017 admission screening of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU) using Awaiting O-level Results that they are to login with their user name and password on the registration portal to fill in their complete 9 O-level subjects and grades.

Federal College of Education Abeokuta Admission Screening Registration 2016/2017 Announced

This is to invite candidates who sat for 2016/2017 academic session UTME examination and scored 180 and above, to register for their Federal College of Education, Abeokuta post UTME screening exercise.

Other candidates that did not choose the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, can also apply for the post UTME screening, provided he/she qualified and met the requirements for he/her particular course of study.

Method of Application

Non-refundable screening application payment of N2,500.00 (inclusive of Bank Charges) should be paid through eTranzact platform from any bank in Nigeria, where a Confirmation Order / PIN Code to register is provided after the payment.

Consequent upon payment of the specified fees, candidates will access the registration portal with the PIN/Confirmation Codes obtained from the Bank.

Upon entering the portal: http://www.fceabeokuta.net/, candidates are to create his/her profile by Clicking on REGISTER Menu, His/her chosen User ID and Password will be his / her login particulars to complete the registration.

A mail will be sent to the email address he/she provided while registering, go to your email box and click on the link sent there to continue your registration.

Login with your User ID and Password, then Click on SCREENING REGISTRATION Menu to enter your Confirmation Order / PIN code and your details. Do not click on SAVE permanently if you wish to come back at a later date and edit.

STEP 1: At the homepage of the Bayero University Website, www.buk.edu.ng click 2016/2017 UTME REGISTRATION FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE

STEP 2: Login using your UTME Number and UTME Aggregate (total score), then upload your passport-sized photograph. Note that the photograph uploaded will be only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in Bayero University,Kano.

STEP 3:  Fill-in the Applicants’ Particulars Form.

STEP 4: Print your personalized payment invoice to make the payment of N2,500.00 (N2,000 being cost of screening and N500 being Bank and Administrative charges) at any commercial bank nationwide via the Remita platform.

STEP 5: After making the payment, return to the website, www.buk.edu.ng and login again. Your payment will be validated after which you can print your personalized acknowledgment slip. Preview and confirm your information before printing your acknowledgement slip. Note that applicants cannot print their acknowledgement slip until payment is processed and verified.


THE SCREENING EXERCISE WILL TAKE PLACE FROM TUESDAY, 6TH SEPTEMBER TO THURSDAY , 8TH SEPTEMBER, 2016.
