UNIABUJA Pre-Admission Screening 2016/2017 Registration Portal Now Active

APPLICATION FOR PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING INTO UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME, 2016/2017 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to advise all Candidates who selected University of Abuja as their first choice
Institution in the 2016 JAMB UTME/DE that Applications are hereby, invited from
suitably qualified candidates for Pre-admission Screening into Undergraduate
programmes of the University, for the 2016/2017 Academics Session to visit the
University’s Portal (www.unibuja.com) and submit their O’level results or/and Direct
entry qualifications through the University Web portal (www.unibuja.com) from
Thursday 28th July 2016.

The physical interaction and sighting of original certificates will commence from the
date of resumption of 2016/2017 Academic Session in the University, at various
Faculty/Department of Candidates’ course of choice.

A. ELIGIBILITY
i. Only UTME/DE Candidates who selected University of Abuja are
eligible for Pre-admission Screening.
ii. UTME Candidates must have scored minimum of 180 and made
University of Abuja first choice Institution to be eligible for Preadmission
Screening.
iii. Awaiting Result Candidates who expects the release of their result
before the Pre-admission screening processes is concluded can also
apply and must update their results on the portal not later then 15th
September, 2016.

B. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
i. All Candidates for Undergraduate studies in the University of Abuja
must have obtained at least five (5) credits including English and
Mathematics in not more than two sittings in WASC, NECO, GCE
(Ordinary Level) or their equivalent, depends on various Course of
choice.
ii. UTME Candidates must meet the Subjects combination requirements.
iii. Candidates seeking for direct entry admission into any of the
Undergraduate Programme must possess an Advance level Result, OND
or HND with a minimum grade of lower credit, University degree with
minimum grade of third class or their equivalent.

C. GENERAL INFORMATION
1. UTME Candidates whose UTME or O’level Subjects combination
requirements are not met are eligible to apply for change of course to
another course of which subjects combinations are met.
2. Each Candidate shall bring along to the venue of the screening the
following:
i. Acknowledgement Slip/Receipt and Application Form Printout
as it admits candidate to the physical interaction and sighting of
original certificate screening.
ii. Original Certificate/JAMB Result Slip/Direct Entry Registration
Slip.
iii. Candidates are to arrive at the screening venue by 9:00a.m.

Screening to apply Online. Please note the following:
 Mix-up in the application by applicants would attract extra charges
 Multiple applications are not allowed, but if you have applied for both
UTME/DE should be paid for and fill forms separately
 Error in completion and submission of forms during the process of
application would lead to loss of application processing for the academic
session.(e.g. selecting Economics Instead of Accounting.)
 A candidate who is not admitted into the programme applied for cannot
transfer the application for consideration into another programme
 Statement of result of four (4) years and above will not be accepted for
admission (Candidate should therefore obtain certificate from the relevant
examination body).
Pre-admission Screening Application fees (N2,500) are non-refundable.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application forms can be obtained online via www.unibuja.com, click Preadmission
Screening, print procedure to access sales of forms from the Portal,
generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR), make payment online (Form fee
N2,500) Fill form online, save and submit, print Pre-admission Screening
Acknowledgement Slip/Receipt and Application Form Printout Online.
Please note that the sales of Pre-admission screening application forms commences
on Thursday, 28th July, 2016.

CLOSING DATE
The Online Screening Application form will close on Wednesday, 17th August, 2016
(Three weeks) at 11:59pm. Completed online application form printout and other
relevant documents are to be presented at the physical interaction and sighting of
original certificate exercise. Short listed Candidates shall be published on the
University Web Portal at a later date.

JAMB New Boss Promises Improvement Of Policies, Reveals His Five Point Agenda

The new Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during the formal handing over ceremony in Abuja on Monday assured his predecessor, Prof Dibu Ojerinde of his willingness to continue the implementation of good policies he embarked upon.

He however added that there is still enough room for improvement and whether his tenure will be long, short or truncated is not really important. The important thing is for him to do his bit and leave the stage better than he met it just like his predecessors have done. He equally called for collective responsibility towards making the Board even greater.

He went further to reveal his five point agenda for the board which includes enhanced staff welfare, discipline, improved technology, transparency and advanced networking

Responding to this, the outgoing Registrar Prof. Ojerinde, expressed hopes that the new JAMB Boss will make the Board better.

“I am sure you will make things better than you found it. I am not surprised you are coming.” He stated.

He further called on the staff of the board to give the new registrar the same cooperation they gave him during his tenure.

Akanu Ibiam Fed Poly Admission Screening (ND/HND) 2016/2017 Announced

Candidates who scored 180 marks and above in the 2016/2017 JAMB UTME are invited to apply for on line screening for admission into National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Programmes of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana, Ebonyi State.

Candidates who seek admission into the under-listed Direct Entry Programmes should also apply.

Basic Screening Documents
The following basic documents are required for the online screening

National Diploma
-Original copy of 2016 JAMB UTME Result that bears your passport photograph. 

 -Original copy of O-level Result

Higher National Diploma
-Original copy of O-level Result
-Original copy of National Diploma Statement of Result obtained from NBTE Accredited institution
-Original copy of letter of completion of 1 year industrial Training

Application Fee
The application fee for National Diploma courses is Two thousand Five Hundred Naira (2,500). The fee for Higher National Diploma courses, Part-time National Diploma courses and other programmes listed under Direct Entry Admission is Five Thousand Naira (N5000.00).

Candidates should pay the screening application fee through the Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana Remita Platform in any bank in Nigeria.
