rp_JAMB-LOGO-300x264.jpeg
The JAMB change of course 2016/2017 is currently ongoing,as we posted earlier, you are suppose to change your course/institution before the JAMB closing Date.
The aim of this post is to help and guide you in other to avoid mistakes that may not be corrected after changing your course,so if you have not done yours, kindly take 5-10 minutes to go through this post before proceeding.

JAMB 2016 Change Of Course: Read This Before Changing Your Course

Here are the things to not before changing your course:
=»1. O’level And UTME Combination:
Many JAMB candidates do not bear this in mind before purchasing their form, you ought to first confirm that your UTME Subject combination and your O’level result tallies with the required criteria needed to be admitted to study that particular course since many institutions have specific standard requirements for all courses offered.
=»2. Changing From Course Not Related To Your UTME Combination:
You read the heading right? You have to put it at the back of your mind when filling the form, imagine candidates who sat for science-related subjects in JAMB requesting to change their courses to a management-related course. There is no way any institution will admit you into a course that you did not meet the standard requirement to study. Avoid this mistake and choose wisely the course related with the one you sat for on your UTME exam.
=»3. Choosing Wrong Institution:
For candidates didn’t meet with their institution cut off mark and wish to change, you better make sure you are choosing the right institution, before changing your institution make sure you know the cut off mark, and you are that you beat the cut of mark. Also ensure that the institution are offering the course you are applying.

How to check if you have the right subject combination for your course/institution

Here is the ultimate solution to check if you have the right subject combination for your course or institution.

The simple and most reliable procedure is to use the Online JAMB brochure. Nothing beats that!

The only time you should comment or reply about your subject combination is if you have an issue with what the JAMB brochure is stating about your course or institution.

We have painstakingly compiled the brochure in such a way that it is very easy to use. The JAMB brochure not only helps you determine your subject combination, but it also helps you know;

- List schools that are offering a particular course,
- List courses that are offered in a particular school,
- If your JAMB subject combination matches with the course or institution you want to select,
- The subject or course requirement for any institution,
- The O'level requirement for a course or institution, please use the Online JAMB Brochure on this website.

Don't Let Your JAMB Score Define You

To most people, JAMB Scores this year have been rubbish, especially for those who didn't get what they expected. To those who scored high, they were given "free" marks. To those who scored low, marks were deducted.

Apart from candidates that sat on the 27th and 29th, I think everyone else has no complaint. JAMB used the candidates that sat on the 27th and 29th as experiments. It's cruel, but they are just a stumbling block.

Be that as it may, most candidates are lashing out at those with high marks, even those with high marks claim they deserve more. In tests like this, there is no 100, it's 99.

The total number of candidates that registered for the exam is over 1.5M and the hard truth is that not everyone will make the grade.

It's not an insult or a shade, it's just reality. I can understand the pains, i'm not just saying, i've been there. I've felt it too. The only difference is I wasn't robbed off my marks like some of you were, but I still understand.

Be happy for people, pray to God. Maybe there is a reason. You may not know yet, but maybe you'll figure it out later. Congratulate those who made it and be determined that this won't hold you down.

Dibu didn't write JAMB. I'm sure Obasanjo, Buhari and most of the high and mighty in our society didn't write JAMB. I'm not saying you should disregard the exam, I'm just saying "don't let it determine who you are". It can affect your view of things but it shouldn't shape it.

Stay blessed.

JAMB Is Not legally Binded By Senate Resolutions - Legal Practioners

Some Legal practitioners in the country have aired their views over the resolutions taken by the Senate recently which stated that the UTME form be sold at N2,500 by JAMB and the UTME Result validity extended to 3 years.

According to them, the resolutions by the senate are not binding on JAMB.

Professor Itse Sagay while speaking on this said that the senate cannot pass such resolutions on an executive body like JAMB; stating that it is only the Minister of Education, or the Council governing JAMB can take such decisions. Hence, the resolution by the senate can be deemed a mere request or advice.

Also, Mrs. Funke Adekoya (SAN) said that the resolutions are not binding on JAMB as the House of Representative is yet to make a law to that effect. Hence, if JAMB does not obey, no law can be said to have been broken or breached. This simply implies that the resolutions are only requests by the senate.
