The Federal University Oye-Ekiti hereby inform all applicants who applied to FUOYE in the 2016 UTME to visit the screening portal www.screening.fuoye.edu.ng to participate in the on-line screening exercise effective from Monday 25th July – 5th Friday, August 2016.

ELIGIBILITY

i) Candidates who applied to Federal University Oye Ekiti and obtained UTME cut-off score of 180 and above.

ii) All candidates must possess a minimum of five ‘O’ level credits obtained at not more than two sittings in subjects relevant to their proposed courses. Any candidate who does not have these requirements is considered as an Awaiting Result (AR) candidate

iii) Direct Entry candidates must possess a minimum of Upper Credit at National Diploma or its equivalents.

EPORTAL ACCESS FEE

Each candidate will be required to pay a processing fee of Two Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N2,500 .00) only.

Payment should be made through E-transact.

REGISTRATION/PAYMENT PROCEDURE USING E- TRANSACT

i) Visit any bank and pay through e-Transact platform.

ii) You will receive a print-out with receipt number and confirmation-order.

iii) Visit Federal University Oye-Ekiti website www.fuoye.edu.ng and click on Admission to select 2016 UTME screening/ Direct Entry from the home page.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Applicants for the Screening Exercise will be required to do the following on the University website.

i.) Upload Passport Photograph

ii.) Submit a valid e-mail address and a valid cell phone number in your Registration Form.

iii.) Complete the O’ Level section with the required 5 O’ level credits for the applied course in either one (1) or two (2) sittings

iv.) Print out screening report

Direct Entry Applicants

i. In addition to the above information, you are required to upload your statement/Notification of results.

ii. You are also required to forward your transcript to the Office of the Registrar, Federal University Oye Ekiti on or before Friday 5th August 2016.

CAUTION

Applicants that do not adhere strictly to the instructions on the University website will be disqualified.

To qualify for the N500,000 cash grant, applicant must attain at least 80% cumulative score while the sub-grants of N100,000, N50,000 and N10,000 will be duly disbursed to slated number of applicants that obtain scores within the range of (70 – 79)% , (65 – 69)% and (62 – 64)% respectively.

Successful participants will be awarded on the 23rd of September, 2016.

HND-B.Sc Dichotomy To End Soon - Minister of Education

The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu has disclosed that the current administration is taking necessary steps towards ending the HND-BSc Dichotomy.

He made this known through the Executive Secretary, National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Dr. Masa’udu Adamu Kazaure at the 32nd combined convocation and Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Kaduna State Polytechnic.

He equally appealed to the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics to exercise patience as efforts are being made to address all their demands within available resources

Delta State Poly Otefe, Oghara HND Admission 2016/2017 Announced

The Centre for Remedial Studies (CRES) of Abia State University, Uturu, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its one year Pre-Degree and Remedial Studies programmes for the 2016/2017 academic session.

Successful candidates who obtained good grades at the end of the programme and who made ABSU their choice of University, having sat for and passed JAMB Examinations, will be given concession during 2017/2018 admission exercise.

The admission Forms for the Pre-Degree and Remedial Programmes are available on-line.

Applicants are invited for admission Into HND Programmes at Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara.

(ii) Candidates who chose other Polytechnic but wish to change to Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara and scored a minimum of 180 having changed it through JAMB.

Entry Requirements



(i) Five(5) O’Level Credit Passes including Mathematics and English Language in subjects relevant to the Candidate’s course of study.



(ii) The following subjects are taken as one: Economics or Commerce, Government or History or Civic Education, Biology or Agricultural Science or Fishery or Animal Husbandry, Marketing or Salesmanship, Financial Accounting or Book Keeping, Data Processing or ICT or Computer Studies or Information & Communication Technology.

CRS is accepted only for all Business/Social Science Courses.



(iii) Candidates who applied for Computer Science must have at least a pass in Physics.
