JAMB Score of 200 and Above In 2016 UTME - Your Next Step

This thread is for candidates who scored 200 and above in the 2016 Unified tertiary Matriculation ExImage result for jamb logoamination. Going by the irregularities that marred the examination, it can be said that you are among the privileged few out of the over 1 million candidates that sat for the examination.

However, being among the privileged few to scale through the hurdle of UTME does not mean automatically qualify you for admission into a higher institution.

We want to use this medium to guide you on the next step you are to take towards securing admission this year.
With your score, you may have already qualified for the post-UTME of your selected institutions. However, there are few things you should know at this point as to ensure you finally secure an admission this year.

If the course you picked in your selected institution is a competitive one, and you do not have a score well above 200, you may not stand a good chance of gaining admission.

So what you need to do is verify the cut off mark in your selected institution for that particular course . That way you will know if you stand a chance and that will inform if you need a switch by changing your course to a less competitive one relative to your score.

Secondly, Do not let your UTME score get into your head, there is one more major hurdle; POST-UTME.

Many of us usually bask in the euphoria of already attained success that we forget that there are more hurdles to conquer. Don’t “divorce” your books. Start your Post-UTME preparations now. From experience we have noticed that most institutions usually repeat their post-UTME questions.

That means that studying post-UTME past questions would be of great help. Finally, have you obtained JAMB Original Result Slip?, It is the only officially recognized JAMB Result. This will be required for your Post-UTME.

You can use this medium to interact among yourselves and share valuable information that will help one another.

JAMB Score Between 180 -199 In 2016 UTME - Your Next Step

Image result for jamb logo

This thread is for candidates who scored between 180-199 in the 2016 Unified tertiary Matriculation Examination. You may not have expected the score you now have, but instead of crying foul, why not find out what you can best do with that score? Well, that’s what this post is all about. That is to guide you on the next step you are to take.

Though your score may not secure you admission into top federal universities in the country but it still can secure you one in any state university as well as some federal universities.
However, what you ought to do now is to verify the cut off mark of your selected course and its competitiveness in your institution of choice.

This will help you to make the critical decision on whether to go for a JAMB change of course, institution or both as the case may be. With this, you will stand a better chance of securing admission this year.

With that settled, the next thing that should be on your mind is your Post-UTME. Experience has shown that most institutions usually repeat their post-UTME questions. That means that studying post-UTME past questions would be of great help.

Don’t forget also that you need to obtain your JAMB Original Result Slip. This is the only officially recognized JAMB Result and you will definitely require this for your Post-UTME.

You can use this medium to interact among yourselves and share valuable information that will help one another.
