KSU Post-UTME 2015: Date, Cut-off Mark, Eligibility And Registration Details

This is to inform candidates who applied for admission into Kogi State University, Ayingba for the 2015/2016 Academic Session and who made the institution their FIRST CHOICE (MOST PREFERRED INSTITUTION ONLY), that they would be screened through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) in their subject combinations similar to UTME , stating from Tuesday 1st and ending on Tuesday 8th September, 2015 for UTME candidates only.

Qualifications For Screening
UTME Candidates (100 level). Only candidates with UTME score of 180 and above and with requisite minimum of Five (5) O’level Credit passes in the relevant subjects, including English Language (and Mathematics for programmes in the Faculties of Natural Sciences and Education) at not more than two sittings, are eligible to attend the screening exercise.

Registration for Screening
Registration for the Screening Exercise will commence from Monday. 10th August, 2015 and closes on Thursday 27th August, 2015 at midnight.

Details of the registration procedure are as follows:
Candidates are to pay into Kogi State University Post-UTME Account No. 1130036448, Bank Name: Any Branch of Zenith Bank Plc through X-PATH Platform, Amount : 2700 (Two thousand Seven Hundred Naira Only) i.e One thousand Five Hundred Naira for Registration/Screening and One thousand Naira for Result checking) and bank charges of Two Hundred Naira
Candidates are to obtain a PIN from the bank after the payment of 2,700(Two Thousand Seven Hundred Naira Only).

Candidates should visit any cyber café to register online on the institution’s portal www.ksuportal.edu.ng and follow the instructions accordingly

Candidates will be required to upload a scanned copy of their passport photographs (file size: not more than 20kb) with RED Background.

Candidates are to print out their respective Schedule Slip or Registration Slip containing Date and Tome Schedule for the test. The print-out of the Schedule Slip or Registration Slip and the print out of The UTME result must be brought to the screening venue for submission to Screening Officers. The put must be in colour.

Candidates MUST arrive at the Professor F.S Idachaba Lecture Theater One Hours before their scheduled screening time, to ensure proper briefing and accreditation.

Candidates are to adhere strictly to their schedules.
Candidates are prohibited from coming into the examination hall with phones handsets, flash drive, modem, Biro, pencil and/or any electronic gadgets.

UNIUYO Updates Post UTME 2015 Information

The University of Uyo has reverted her 2015/2016 Post-UTME cut-off mark to 180. This means that the JAMB posting/redistribution/eligibility check will not be used anymore.

The University has extended invitation to all candidates who made the University their 1st choice in the 2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and had a Minimum Score of 180 and above to a Screening Exercise, for provisional admission consideration.

Note: This notice supersedes the earlier notice which indicated different minimum scores to programmes.
Candidates who had already registered, should re-print their Examination Scheduled Slip for a new date and venue for the Screening Exercise.

KSU Post-UTME/DE 2015 Fraud Alert

The attention of Management of Kogi State University Anyigba has been drawn to a fraudulent online post stating that the “KOGI STATE UNIVERSITY 2015/2016 POST-UTME/DIRECT ENTRY FORM IS OUT”. 

The unsuspecting applicants and the general public should note that the sole motive behind this FALSE and devilish post is FRAUD. It should be noted CLEARLY that Kogi State University is yet to announce the SALE OF FORMS FOR REGISTRATION IN RESPECT OF THE 2015/2016 POST-UTME/DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING, and will soon do so through accredited channels.

The public should also note that the University has a clearly established information channels devoted to transparency and zero tolerance for admission racketeering. Needless to say the institution has not in any way authorized any agent to carry out any form of transaction on its behalf. Therefore, applicants and other members of the public SHOULD BEWARE that any form of transaction with any online scammers or any other self-appointed agents in the name of the institution is at the risk of the parties involved, and certainly not Kogi State University. MAUTECH Post-UTME 2015: Date, Cut-off Mark, Eligibility And Registration Details

The Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola invites applications from prospective candidates for the 2015/2016 Post-UTME Screening Exercise.

Eligibility:
(i) Candidates who chose Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola as their Most Preferred First Choice and obtained 180 and above in 2015 UTME are to present themselves for the Post-UTME screening exercise.
(ii) Candidates are expected to possess not more than two settings of O’level Examination results (SSCE/WAEC/GCE/NECO/TCII etc).
ii) In addition to the above, DE applicants are expected to enter institution, class of diploma/statement of result obtained (ND, HND, NCE, A’level).

Method of Application:
Candidates are to visit the school official website on http://mautech.edu.ng/ and click on the POST UTME tab.
On the post-Utme page, click on new applicant.

Enter your names, and a valid phone number (ensure that it is your phone number for it will be used in subsequent communication with you) and a confirmation code will be sent to your phone. Use the code sent to your phone to activate your account and you will be redirected to the login page.

Use your phone number (The one you entered earlier) as your Username as well as password. Confirm your information on the page and proceed to the payment page.

Put your ATM card number, the 3 digits behind the card and your ATM pin number and proceed to pay the total sum of N2,300 only. After a successful payment, you would proceed to fill your application form.

You are required to enter your personal information including your names and other relevant information. Upload your recent passport photograph with a plain background (JPEG format and not more than 50kb in size) and click on the ‘Submit application’ button.

Note that before final submission of the application, you are to cross-check and ensure all the information are correct, because after the submission you cannot edit any of the information.

Print the Application Slip with the Serial Number on your slip now your Application ID as well as your login username.

Screening Date & Details:
Candidates will be contacted via SMS for the date, time and
venue of their screening.

Post-Utme candidates are to note the following;
i) You are required to present the originals of your relevant credentials (O level results, JAMB result(with your passport photograph in it/acknowledgment slip, A’ level results as applicable to you.).

WAEC May/June 2015 Result Released

The results of the May/June 2015 West African Examination Council has been released. However the results of candidates in the 13 states owing the Examination council were withheld.

Giving a breakdown of the result in Yaba, the Head of Nigerian Office WAEC, Mr Charles Eguridu said “A total of 1,605,248 candidates registered for the May/June 2015 WASSCE, out of which 1,593,442 candidates, consisting of 864,096 male and 729,346 female candidates sat the examination.

“Out of the total number of candidates who sat the examination, 1,498,069 candidates, representing 94.01% have their results fully released, while 95,373 candidates, representing 5.99% have a few of their subjects still being processed due to some errors mainly traceable to the candidates and schools in the course of registration or writing the examination.

” Such errors are being corrected by the Council to enable the affected candidates get their results fully processed and released subsequently.
“Of the total number of candidates that sat the examination, 758,849 candidates, representing 47.62% obtained six (6) credits and above; 949,862 candidates, representing 59.61% obtained five (5) credits and above, while 1,114,988 candidates, representing 69.97 % obtained credit and above in four (4) subjects. In addition, 1,295,915 candidates, representing 78.81% obtained credit and above in three (3) subjects, while 1,376,743 candidates, representing 86.40% obtained credit and above in two (2) subjects. 

Only 616,370 candidates, representing 38.68% obtained credits in five subjects and above including English Language and Mathematics.”

While the results of 118,101 candidates, representing 7.41% are being withheld in connection with various cases of examination malpractice. 

He further stated that the results of candidates in those states owing the council will be released once the states are able to produce bank guarantees, as an assurance that the fees will be paid.

According to him, candidates will be able to check their result on WAEC official website www.waecdirect.org in the next 24 hours. 

WAEC releases results, with 39% pass in Eng/Maths

The West African Examinations Coincil, WAEC has released the May/June 2015 results and witholding the results of students in 13 states that are owing the Council.

The Head of Nigerian Office, Mr Charles Eguridu who disclosed this at its Yaba Office said:”Out of 1,593,442 candidates who sat for the examinations, only 616,370 candidates, representing 38.68% obtained credits in five subjects and above including English Language and Mathematics.”

Justifying the slight improvement in the results from previous years Eguridu said that in 2013, a total candidates who obtained five credits in English and Mathematics were 639,760 representing 38.30 per cent.

He said, in 2014, 529,425 representing 31.28 per cent obtained five credits in English and Mathemstics.

WAEC releases SSCE, withholds 118,101 candidates’ results

The West African School Certificate has released the May/June 2015
Senior School Certificate Examination results, withholding 118,101
candidates’ results out of the 1.5 million students that sat the
examination.

WAEC Head of National Office, Mr. Charles Eguridu, announced this in
Lagos at a press conference on Monday.

Eguridu added that the states owing WAEC had reduced to 13, saying the
candidates in public schools in the 13 states would not have their
results until their state governments pay their candidates’
registration fees.

The examination body had raised the alarm that 19 states owed the
agency about N4bn, an amount that might cripple the operations of
WAEC.

The following subjects will be examined: English Language, History & Government.

Venue: Multipurpose Auditorium, Bauchi Road Campus, University of Jos, Jos.

How Do I Check If I Am Eligible For The UNIJOS Post UTME 2015?

If You Choose the University of Jos in the 2015 JAMB UTME application and scored above 180 marks at the UTME, you are qualified to purchase the UNIJOS Post UTME 2015 Forms.

 

How Do I Buy The UNIJOS Post UTME 2015 Forms?

Application for the UNIJOS Post UTME 2015 is only for qualified candidates as stated above and follows the following process:

The registration website will be open from Monday, 10th August, 2015 for online application.

(i) Each candidate shall pay a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only for the screening and for accessing their results.
Payment shall be made online at the University of Jos website by using ATM (Verve & MasterCard) cards of any bank enabled for web-based payment.

(ii) Thereafter, a receipt number and a confirmation order number will be issued for online registration.

(iii) Log on to unijos.edu.ng for the registration procedures and proceed with registration.

(iv) Registration for the UNIJOS Post UTME 2015 screening is only concluded when the scheduling of the venue, date and time of the test is automatically generated for each candidate.

(v) Candidates should print out the schedule slip which must be brought along for the UNIJOS Post UTME 2015 screening exercise.

(vi) Candidates are to come to the venue with copies of their JAMB result slip and the schedule slip only.

(vii) A demonstration of the computer based test is available on the University of Jos website: unijos.edu.ng

 

General Instructions about the UNIJOS Post UTME 2015
(i) Candidates who registered for the UNIJOS Post UTME 2015 are expected to be at the screening centre, one hour before the scheduled time allotted to them.
(ii) Any candidate who fails to come for the screening exercise will automatically forfeit the chance of being considered for admission ito the University of Jos for the 2015/2016 academic session..
(iii) Withholding information or provision of wrong information will lead to instant disqualification.
(iv) Candidates are strongly advised not to come to the screening centre with any electronic device such as GSM Phones, iPods, iPads, bags, etc., as these items will not be allowed inside the screening hall.
(v) Parents, Guardians and other unauthorized persons are not allowed within the screening venue during the UNIJOS Post UTME 2015 screening.
(vi) The University of Jos does not condone any form of examination malpractice. Offenders shall be handed over to the law enforcement agents for prosecution in addition to being disqualified.

10,293 Of 20,631 Candidates Failed OAU Post Utme 2015/2016

No fewer than 10, 293 candidates failed to score 200 marks and above in the post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted by the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. This was contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr. Abiodun Olarewaju, on Sunday.

The university, according to Olarewaju, released the result of the Saturday screening barely six hours after  the conduct of its post-UTME  exercise on the website of the institution. Check OAU Post Utme 2015 result here

He said, “Out of about 20, 631 candidates, who sat for the screening, 10, 338 candidates scored 200 marks and above. This signifies about 58 per cent, specifically 57.08 per cent.

“A sizeable number of the candidates, however, put in exceptional brilliance, which produced spectacular results, scoring 300 and above, with four of them, who are aspiring to study Education English, specially outstanding.

“Leading with the highest score of 348 is NZE, Samuel Onyenachi, with UTME no: 55227945CC, aspiring to study English Education, while the second highest of 344 was scored by ADEBAJO, Glory Olalekan, with UTME no: 55552404.

“The other two candidates, who both scored the same marks of 377 are EPUNAM, Ifeanyi Jude and OSENI, Felix Oluwatobi.”

Olarewaju advised all the candidates, who sat for the screening, to check their results accordingly.
