Have you heard that the legend, Jackie Chan, will be in Nigeria from September 4th 2015? Awesome! Get to see him first hand (don’t be told) as he performs his mesmerizing stunts and tells a fantastic story in cinemas across Nigeria through his $65million dollar film “Dragon Blade”. Dragon Blade tells the story ofHuoAn (Jackie Chan), a Hun, serving as the captain of the Protection Squad Silk Road. A Roman general named Lucius (John Cusack) flees to the East with his legion and Publius (Jozef Waite), heir of the ruling Roman Consul, to escape from the corrupt Emperor Tiberius (Adrien Brody), who plans to kill Publius and usurp the throne. They meet HuoAn at a frontier fort on the Silk Road, where they receive sanctuary. Tiberius and his army, who have pursued Lucius along the Silk Road, approach the fort with intention of killing Publius and ambitions of capturing and controlling the Silk Road. HuoAn decides to help Lucius, and goes to his allies to recruit an army to fight against Tiberius. HuoAn arrives with reinforcements, and an epic battle like never seen before, begins.

According to reports, the female suicide bomber detonated the bomb at the crowded bus terminal killing herself and four others including a pregnant woman and a baby.

JAMB UTME 2016 Sales Of Form Begins August 31st - Find Important Guidelines

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has perfected plans to begin the 2016 sales of UTME form by August 31st, 2015.

This was made known by the board’s Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin in statement today in Lagos

It was gathered that the decision of the board to make the form available now is to prepare candidates early for the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The scratch cards will be made available from August 31st, 2015 and can be purchased from the following banks; Zenith Bank, Sky Bank and First Bank.

”The registration fee for the UTME is N5,000 and candidates are also to pay N500 to obtain the textbook, The Last Days at Forcados High School’.

”Candidates will, however, be issued the book at the point of registration after showing evidence of payment,” the statement stated.

Prospective candidates are advised to ensure they obtained the application forms early as well as fill their personal data correctly to avoid any mix-up.

The deadline for sales of form is January 15, 2016. While the registration website will close January 19th, 2015.

The 2016 UTME examination is expected to begin Feb.29 and end on March 14, 2016.

DELSU Re-schedules 2015 Post-UTME Screening

Information reaching us has it that the 2015 post-UTME screening exercise of the Delta state University (DELSU) which was supposed to start yesterday was postponed.

It was learnt that the Candidates who were supposed to participate in the screening yesterday arrived at the screening venue only to be told that the screening has been re-scheduled.

MTN Foundation Scholarship Scheme 2015 - Apply Now

This is to inform the public that application for MTN Foundation Scholarship scheme has commenced.

A maximum of 500 qualified and successful full-time Nigerian students studying science and technology related courses are awarded the scholarship which covers tuition, book allowance and stipends.

The scholarship is renewed every year until graduation for existing awardees provided they have maintained a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or its equivalent (second class upper/upper credit) while new applications, when advertised, are welcome from full time students in their second year of study.


Eligibility 

The students must be in their second year at the time of application.

Applicants from public Universities and Colleges of Education in Nigeria must be full time undergraduates in 200 level/2nd year.

Applicants from public Universities and Colleges of Education must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score of 3.5 or its equivalent (2:1)

Applicants from public Polytechnics must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) programme and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma programme (HND).

Direct entry level students must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) from the OND programme and must have secured admission into 200 level/2nd year in a public University
